A useful index, not a hype machine

What was discussed, what it does and whether it makes sense.

The JRE covers a lot of ground. Rogan Recs turns those long conversations into practical, readable guides—with uncertainty and safety caveats left intact.

Joe Rogan has been recommending things on a microphone for fifteen years. Some of it stuck. Most of it is buried in a three-hour episode nobody can find again.

This site is the index. Every guide here starts from something said on the podcast, in an interview, or on a broadcast, and works outward: what the thing actually is, why it came up, what it costs, and whether it makes sense for a normal person who isn’t a millionaire comedian with a home gym.

What’s here

Supplements is the biggest section and the one most people arrive at. It covers the full stack that gets discussed, broken out by what each compound is supposed to do, plus separate deep dives on the ones that generate the most questions.

Podcast guests covers the recurring names — Rhonda Patrick, Andrew Huberman, Gary Brecka — because a lot of what gets attributed to Rogan actually came from someone sitting across the table from him. It also covers the studio itself: the microphones, the chair, the setup.

Recovery gets its own guides for sauna and cold plunge, the two protocols that come up most and have the widest gap between what people think they need to spend and what actually works.

The blog is everything else: hunting gear, the Comedy Mothership, Austin restaurants, kettlebells, whiskey, elk.

How to read anything on this site

Three things worth saying up front, because they apply to every page here.

This is a fan site. No connection to Joe Rogan, the JRE, or Spotify. Nobody here has interviewed him. Everything is sourced from public episodes and interviews, and where something is uncertain, it says so.

Discussed is not the same as endorsed. A guest saying something on a podcast is not evidence that it works. Several of the protocols covered on this site have thin or contested research behind them, and the guides say so rather than pretending otherwise.

It is not medical advice. Supplements interact with medications. Cold exposure is not safe for everyone. Peptides are a legal grey area in most places. Talk to an actual doctor before you start anything, particularly anything you’d be injecting.
