Black Rifle Coffee Company is the coffee brand we can most confidently connect to Rogan’s more recent studio routine.
During JRE #2170 with Max Lugavere in 2024, Rogan was discussing Laird Hamilton’s coffee products when the cup in front of him came up. The coffee was identified as Black Rifle, and Rogan explained that the studio used Black Rifle coffee in the Laird setup.
That is much stronger evidence than an old sponsor list or a generic claim that Black Rifle is “his favorite.” It is Rogan describing what they were actually using in the studio at that time.
Black Rifle also has a sustained JRE connection. Founder Evan Hafer has appeared on JRE repeatedly, including #1546, #1693, #2070, #2230 and #2453. His latest appearance in that run, #2453, aired in February 2026.

Does Joe Rogan drink coffee before workouts?
Rogan’s broader routine frequently mixes caffeine, training, sauna and other performance habits, but the useful question is whether caffeine itself can help exercise performance.
The sports-nutrition evidence is reasonably strong: caffeine can improve performance in many people, although response varies. Research reviews often study doses around 3–6 mg of caffeine per kilogram of body weight before exercise. That is a research range, not a target everyone should copy, and higher doses are not automatically better.
For everyday intake, the FDA says 400 mg of caffeine per day is an amount not generally associated with negative effects for most adults. Sensitivity varies substantially, and coffee caffeine content varies by bean, brew method and serving size.
